The short version

We do not run analytics on this site, we do not set advertising cookies, and we never see your card details. Payment and order data for purchases is handled by Polar Software, Inc. as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. VoidNotch is the software licensor and supplier.

Payment data

Payments are handled by Polar Software, Inc. as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. Your card details go to Polar, not to VoidNotch — we never receive or store them. Polar issues your invoice or receipt and may hold the personal data required to process the sale, tax, and support under its own policies. For support about a purchase, use your Polar order or receipt reference.

Licence activation

When you activate, validate, or deactivate a Pro licence, the app contacts Polar for licence activation, validation, or deactivation. That request includes your licence key and a name for the Mac you are activating (macOS supplies this — typically something like “Chris’s MacBook Pro”). This is how the per-Mac limit is enforced. VoidNotch does not transmit your files, your projects, or the contents of anything you work on as part of licence checks.

Local usage data and network behaviour

Usage and session figures displayed in the app are read from local CLI and session data on your Mac. There is no VoidNotch telemetry and no VoidNotch analytics backend for product usage. Polar is contacted for licence activation, validation, and deactivation. Provider and runtime components may make their own network requests independently of VoidNotch.

How long we keep it

Purchase records held by Polar follow Polar’s retention practices for tax and accounting. Support email we receive is kept until it is no longer useful.

Your rights

Email support@voidnotch.com to ask what we hold about you in support channels, to correct it, or to have it deleted. For payment records held by Polar, you may also use Polar’s customer portal and Polar’s privacy process.

Refunds

VoidNotch offers a voluntary 14-day refund policy. Polar may separately issue refunds under its buyer terms or chargeback-prevention rights.
